João Pedro Montes

João is managing partner of Beresford Capital, as well as the CEO & Founder of WWS Wines. He also serves as an Investment Partner at Alcral AG, Switzerland. He has an extensive international experience across a broad spectrum of board membership and C-level roles, encompassing Investment Strategy, general management, corporate finance, business development, marketing, and entrepreneurship.

In his career, João has served as Chairman at BB Investments and as a Board Member for ONI Telecom & GESTMIN Investments (Champalimaud Family Office).

He was a partner and held positions as General Manager and Business Development Director at TimWe Group and MKTM. He also held executive management and business development roles at Pfizer Pharmaceuticals, working both in New York and Lisbon. He made a significant contribution during his tenure at Wyeth Consumer Healthcare in New Jersey, USA.

 

At Rentech-GTL (part of the Texaco Group) in Colorado, USA, João served as General Manager. Previously, he worked as a consultant at Andersen Consulting in Lisbon and Madrid.

On the academic front, João earned his MBA from the Darden Business School at the University of Virginia and holds a Bachelor's degree in Business from Lisbon University.
