As Country Managing Partner at EY, João led a transformative period in Portugal, Angola, and Mozambique, growing the team from 320 to over 2,000 professionals while driving significant revenue growth. He has deep expertise in financial auditing, IFRS, corporate governance, compliance, and sustainability, alongside extensive industry knowledge spanning automotive, retail, healthcare, infrastructure, and apparel.

João’s leadership extends to roles such as Markets Leader for EY’s Mediterranean Region, where he developed strategic solutions for clients across Italy, Portugal, and Spain, and Chair of the Investment Committee for EY's Europe West Region, overseeing growth strategies in nine countries.
